Interview: Yung Limousine

by | Feb 10, 2021 | New Artist Interviews | 0 comments

Artist Name: Yung Limousine
Latest Release: Abigail x Ivorian Doll- The Situation Remix

““I try to put as much emotion in music as I can. I believe my music is relatable to everyday situations that people go through. For example, heartbreak, depression, mental illness, happy moods etc. I take this seriously because it's personal. I myself battle depression everyday. Music is all I got.””

Tell us all about this new track of yours!
This track isn't necessarily new, it's my most popular one. It has a darker atmosphere, but as I said before it gets replayed a lot because of how relatable it is. The energy in this song is strong, hence why it's my most popular song on my page. It has more plays on a different page. In this song I describe heartbreak, depression, sleep paralysis, and how most people cope with depression. I'm not promoting drug use, ever; however I do raise awareness.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?
I would collab with Denzel Curry, however anyone; I'm versatile.

Where are you from and what is the music scene like?
I'm from Ohio, Toledo Ohio; however I do not promote my music in my city as much. All of my plays come from sound cloud networking. I figured out a system and it works! All self promo through commenting etc. Shout out Beige Records for scouting me and signing me. Shout out Rico Green, Great Job and everybody else on the label. Look them up they're killing it on Spotify right now! Numbers don't lie! My EP drops February 12th through them.

How have your life experiences influenced your music?
Man oh man. This subject is so sensitive. I've battled depression my whole life, I've been institutionalized, I'm a suicide attempt survivor. Literally it's a blessing, I'm a walking testimony. I rap about these things because having this mindset is crazy; only because it's like it never gets better. I want people to know that they are not alone. I want to start a movement to battle depression and suicide in the future.

How can fans learn more about you?

Believe it or not I promote a lot on snapchat and have a lot of followers. I have almost 40k plays on sound cloud and my snap username is in the title of all of my songs. Limousine/Yung Limousine
