Interview: problemchild or overtakenbysociety

by | Apr 11, 2021 | Featured, New Artist Interviews, New Rap Music Artists

Artist Name: problemchild or overtakenbysociety

New Song/Release Title: welcome to the underground! home of unoriginality (prod. zeeroxx)

Tell us something about you that fans should know:

emotionally abused, original, local, trash:) i am rage, i am anger, i am trash. as much as i hate to admit it i am all of those things and i will do something to make positivity out of it. theres people much bigger than me and have their sound more together than me but i will always stay raw. i will always provide true rage trash shit, i would never pretend to be something im not nor lead anyone on just to let them down in the end with fucking music. i stick to my own genre but mostly because i cant seem to get out of what i put myself into and i just am still currently lost, people who follow my instagram know. im all over the place and my music is the definition of unstable. but bouncy unstableness;)

Where are you from and what’s the music scene like there?

im from lansing michigan:) the music scene here is honestly great but also garbage i love and hate it lmao. nobody has the energy i do in michigan, a lot of people do music here but mostly do the same shit as the next or try and do what i/we’ve been doing (LOWLIFE). a lot of great artists here fr but sometimes its hard to notice the people putting actual work into their music or whatever they’re doing when it oversaturated with posers, wannabes and people with the thought that they’re actually gonna blow.

How have your life experiences influenced your music?

its hard to understand what i say in my songs for a reason. i want to be known i want my brain explored by yall as weird as that sounds, ill probably regret it all in the end but its something right? my whole life has been nothing but stuff and secrets and just shit that idk and unpredictable back n forth bullshit i gotta figure out. dude im still learning so much about my life right now and sharing it at the same time because thats how i cope, if im going through shit and cant even make out what the hell it is thats gonna happen, has happened, etc. same shit with my music, you dont know whats gonna happen everything is so unpredictable, loud, and uncomfortable.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

craig xen:/
