Interview: Flip Damon

“Flip Damon is a solo artist, singer-songwriter, and producer. He is the former drummer of the DC seventies band, "Horn, Wood, & Silver". He is also the co-founder of the Damon & Matthews songwriting and production team. He currently has a discography that includes several album releases and 10 solo albums. Damon owns and operates a studio in Virginia, and is managed by The Damon Agency in the US.”

Where are you from and what is the music scene like?
Flip Damon is from Virginia, where he currently resides, and the local music scene is quite active and offers a number of urban and other acts.

What is your greatest source of inspiration?
Brian Wilson, The Beach Boys, The Eagles, and Chris Rea

How have your life experiences influenced your music?
Flip Damon started his music career at an early age, having performed in Washington DC and around the metro areas of Virginia and Maryland. In the late seventies he performed and recorded in California. The change of scenery influenced his musical efforts and life.
